'14 to '16 Ram Crewcab 2500 diesel towing which 5th wheels
What 5th wheels are you towing ? My Columbus 340rk states 1800 lb pin weight , which shouldn't be a problem .

As amazing as it sounds the 1800# dry 5th wheel will almost certainly overload the 10,000# GVWR of the truck once loaded. You won't be close to the axle weights or towing ability of the truck. But you exceed the payload. 2500 diesels have crazy low payload ratings because the diesel engine is so heavy.
As a comparison I have 3000# payload on my Hemi (gas engine is lighter) and with a dry pin weight of about 1800# I'm right at my max once loaded up with wife and a couple kids, 5th hitch and stuff in the 5th. And you're 700# heavier than me right out of the gate.
You will find lots of opinions on exceeding the GVWR on your truck and only you can decide what you are okay with. You can see people with HUGE 5th wheels on the back of 2500 trucks all day long and the tires aren't exploding. But most are well over the truck's rating.
