What 5th wheels are you towing ? My Columbus 340rk states 1800 lb pin weight , which shouldn't be a problem .

You didn't state the year this is the closest I could find.
The 1,800# pin is lite for the weight of the rig about 18 percent. That should increase to at least 2,500# (20 percent of 12,500#) this assumes you only load to 12,500#.
Still doable for a 2500, if you decide to run over GVWR. That is your decision.
