As of now the ONLY China made tire I would put on my 5er would be the Sailun S637 tire due to their ISO certifications of TS16969 and ISO14001....
I'm a little puzzled by your listing of ISO 14001 - that's an international ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT standard that really has nothing to do with product quality directly. See HERE. Are they ISO 9001 certified - that is a quality management standard.

Rusty, I know that ISO14001,is an Environmental Management standard, it is still part of what we here in the United states do to manage Environmental concerns, while addressing Quality and manufacturing processes. Depending on what you're manufacturing, you'll have scrap or waste products that should be handled and taken care of in a certain way...This is normally more enforced in the US, but is now getting more attention in other countries..it too is important to one's reputation..They go hand in hand, at least most manufacturers that want to have a good reputation and compete on the world wide market will try to achieve these certifications...It means a lot to most of their customers, as well as our company and people who live close by our plant...Some of my company's customers are Mercedes Benz, Volvo, BMW, GM, Chrysler, Ford, VW, Honda and Subaru, just to name some of the bigger one's., they too know if we are ISO14001 and TS16969 compliant, that we have proof we are putting Quality into our product and also disposing of "waste/trash" in an "environmentally friendly" way. This Sailun tire plant, as bad as pollutions are in China are trying to help as far as their plant is concerned along with recycling..this makes a difference to some of their customers, as it does with our's. They are also TS16969 compliant which, if you check also covers Quality and Manufacturing processes and is a bit more intense than ISO9001
The older ISO9001 certification is still around, but the TS16969 standard covers even more "scrutinizing" of the Quality, Manufacturing and training processes just to name a few facets of the manufacturing process and covers much more in the records departments to prove out one is adhering to the "latest and greatest" standards that would be expected from a "world class manufacturing plant.. Years ago we went through the older ISO9001 standard which has been upgraded to a much more "involved" TS16969 standard
TS16969 audit at our plant is very intensive and takes 4-5 day's to complete. Every personnel training record can be checked. All Quality processes are looked at and records are kept and looked at back to where we were audited the year before. Every single Quality and manufacturing process as well as Engineering processes are all checked to see if we're following procedures and producing a quality product with records. All Operating Instructions are checked to make sure they are being followed...Auditors will pose questions that may be asked of any one in the plant, from be it management, Quality, Engineering, Supervisors, HR, ESH and/or operators that run the lines. .All of this done on the Management level, Engineering, Maintenance, Supervisory, Quality and operators levels....Every aspect of the manufacturing and quality process is looked at, checked, and has to prove out with records or we could lose our certification which could have a major impact on our business.
All that to say, when I see a manufacturing plant with TS16969 AND ISO14001 certifications, I KNOW what they've been through to get these certifications and have a pretty good idea about their Quality and Manufacturing processes and would definitely look at the product they're manufacturing.
