1994 Kit Companion Sunchaser: Any Good?

Hi Guys, my search for an escape pod continues and I may have found something good but have no point of reference on the Kit Companion brand??? What I am looking at later today is a pretty clean looking rig but the woman says the water tank needs replacing. I talked to her on the phone and she does not know if it's holding or hot water. Hope it's the latter but will check it out. I think it's about a 28 but they don't know that either.. Fishy huh? Worth taking a look so the good news is that I now know all about what to look for in terms of water damage. (she didn't know that either!!!) Doesn't look like it has a ladder. That could be a problem cus I need to get up there for dam sure.. Here are some pics. Any info or background on this brand would be appreciated.

Sounds like you are doing better now...

LOL, That could be it! Looks like Dads truck anyway, minus him in his wife-beater T-shirt.
  • Well, it's not worthless. Looks better than the trailer I grew up in during the early sixties. :) (Mom was a divorce' with 2 small kids, me and my sis.)

Once trailer trash, always trailer trash ROFL :C
  • That's not a bad idea.. I am a retired contractor so love this stuff..
  • Check it out really good, find and estimate any repairs needed. Depending on what you find and cost to repair, then maybe for a grand in price you could flip it?
  • Ok that's what it seemed like already to me.. She is asking $1,800.00! If it has no water damage thinking of offering her a grand???!! I know how to negotiate and how much fun it is to walk away when sellers are really hungry. I've been following this ad on CL and she started out in the thousands.. I think about 2 or 3K & I remember thinking that hey this person is really dreaming.. So bottom line, would you buy it at any price or just too cheap a rig..?
Also I am in an area where there are tons of RV's for sale everywhere you look...
  • Isn't that a trailer? (not a 5er)

One of the cheapest brands made. I wouldn't expect quality.
