I have a 13 F250 with step bars on it. My wife has MS, and can't lift her legs very high. She has no problem, due to the step bars, and a very useable hand use bar near the door sill.
I did order mine with the 17" wheels to keep it a little lower for her, as well as clear my garage door, and to keep my FW level.
You could have the sales person measure for you, and there may be a chance of switching to 18s, from another truck on their lot.
