We’re about ready to pull the trigger on a 2013 Ford 350 King Ranch long box SRW. My only concern is that it has the 20” tire option. My wife is handicapped and our present Chevy is 16” from the ground to the top of the running board for her to get in and out and the Chevy has 17” tires. I’m wondering how it will be for her ?. We would check it out but this good deal is several states away.My other concern is will our trailer set level? The trailer already has been raised, in fact we had to put a 4-step entrance step on to make it easier to get in and out.Thanks for those that already have helped.

Fords tend to be very high but the issue is not the 20" WHEEL it's the height of the tire. I assume they use a low profile tire with the bigger wheel but there might be some lift.I would double check the load rating of the 20" wheels and tires - might be less than the 17".

Since the difference between a 17 inch & 20 inch tire is radius it only puts you 1 1/2 inch higher. BUT. If I was buying I would have the selling dealer go out and make measurements. Especially from bed to ground & bed rails to bed. You really need good measurements from that particular truck. JMHO

I have a 13 F250 with step bars on it. My wife has MS, and can't lift her legs very high. She has no problem, due to the step bars, and a very useable hand use bar near the door sill.I did order mine with the 17" wheels to keep it a little lower for her, as well as clear my garage door, and to keep my FW level.You could have the sales person measure for you, and there may be a chance of switching to 18s, from another truck on their lot.Jerry

According to Fords Body Advisory spec sheets the LT275/65-20" E has 3750 lbs of capacity and 34.1" tall. Both of Fords 20" X 8 lug truck wheels are rated at 3590 lbs capacity. The other tire/wheel from Ford is the LT275/70-18" E at 3640 lbs per tire and is 33.2" tall. This tire has the truck less than 1/2" lower to the ground.A LT265/70-17 E tire doesn't have enough capacity for a F350 SRW which needs at least 3500 lbs per tire for its 7000 RAWR.

We also were looking at a new TV and they are all like 5in higher than the older TVs. The only thing I can see to do is have a custom body built to keep the height down $$$$$. I also am old,bad knees and back and cant clime up.You need to get some meserments like has been said before

Nice addition to a pickup for any short or handicapped person is an
AMP Power Step. (Google it).

Lots of 'em in use for 4 x 4 and "tall" (for whatever reason) trucks.

Open the door - the full length step folds out and down.
Close the door - it folds up and out of the way..:C

Only negative = costs about $1100.
Drop in the bucket on a new truck, LOL!.:W

x2 on the Amp. I didn't have the $$$ for them but dang they're slick.

X3 on the Amp steps. My Mother-in-law was old and they really helped her getting in and out. My wife just broke her hip and they are very helpful. Shes also short (5'4").

My friend just got a 2013 Chev 2500 and it had 20" on and an 18 " spare. same outside dia. I'd be more concerned about the overall bed highth. The fifth runs uphill now because they added 2" to the bed height plus the tires. Does it really look macho to have a foot of clearence in the wheelwell? There are some 150"s that are higher that my 2500.
