2000 F350 Brake Controller

Hi again,

Looks like I need to install a brake controller into my truck and not sure where to put it.

I could mount it facing upward on the panel below the little cubby
hole and screw the mounting bracket into the plastic there, or I could put it into the cubby hole perhaps.

The power plug in is right behind this spot.

What models do you recommend for a 9000 pound fifth wheel and where did you put your controller?
  • I screwed my Tekonsha P-2 into the ashtray lid. Perty much where you other guys mounted yours, just a lil' to the left.
  • My controller is mounted just to the left of the ash tray on my 01. I have the phenolic pistons....never had a problem.
  • LOL.. I had the Older brother.. Tekonsha Voyager.. same truck.. same spot!

Just need to be able to grab that over-ride lever if needed.

    Thanks!

    Jeremiah
  • Alright then.. all you guys with the same truck. Is anybody using phenolic pistons in their F350 brake calipers. It seems to be the most popular thing for a piston to seize in the caliper, and maybe the phenolic instead of the metal pistons would work better.

  • This happens to be a Tekonsha Prodigy but there are many good controllers to select from.
