2001 Fleetwood Prowler battery drain

So I have a 2001 prowler northwest edition with an unknown battery drain. So I pulled every fuse and tested amps and got zero across the board. Unhooked the grounds on the battery and got about 8.2 amp draw everything off this includes antenna booster, LPG detector and climate control in the fridge. Any ideas what I can check and where other fuses are located besides the ones in the fuse panel inside the rv?

Thanks in advance

  • Have you checked that the break away switch cable is not pulled? This would send power to the brakes.
  • The in line fuse at the junction box was burnt, the battery was going dead in 2 hrs even when plugged into hydro, I first tried new battery, when the third battery went dead I knew it was not the battery, I didnt check the amps just started following wires, another problem I had on an earlier trailer was the converter was fried, this also drained my battery quickly. Had to get a new converter on that one
  • Was your 5th getting an unknown battery drain?

I check where the wires come out of the battery compartment to the 2 relay looking things the terminals where clear and tight

I don't know if something is on I don't know about or if its another issue but like I said 0 amps on all fuses inside 8 at the battery so there has to be something im missing
  • Check the connection at junction box, my battery cables go through wall to main junction box inside front compartment to place where front legs all lights and fuse boxes are connected, there is also a fuse inline there, my terminals corroded. Mine is a fifth wheel, but I would think all wiring would be similar, no guaranties but that was my problem, replaced the terminals and the in line fuse and good to go
    Good luck
