They can be located anywhere. I accidentally found mine mounted behind a panel back of my basement storage area. There is no access to the area without removing the back panel to the basement storage. I always assumed it would be located in a compartment behind my fuse panel, wrong!! I plan to cut an access panel some time this winter just so I don't have to remove the back panel to get to it. Some design engineers really make you go huh!!
