I took a photo of the tire but I left my good camera at home (****) so I can't make everything out on the tires.

I would go look at the tires on that trailer, that low GVWR is probably equiped with the E rated tires, 16 inch, 3042lbs per tire. Had it been spec'ed with the upgraded tires G rated it would have a higher GVRW. While your looking check the age date on those tires too.
