2006 DRV Mobile Suites 36TKS

The guy next door just got this coach. The question is when it is on shore power everthing is fine BUT when you plug it there is no 12v power inside. The batteries are new and fully charged, he replaced the 12v switch in the battery area it looks like a relay with a side button on it. He pulled out the converter and had it checked at an rv dealer OK. Is there another switch braker or something that we have not seen.:h What I don't understand is an 06 top of the line coach and NO inverter and a real battery disconnect. Any help on this would be great if you have this model coach, I'm lost.

I have never seen anything like this. You must of have the same 3 way switch that I had and it worked great. I tried to sell him mine at a 1/3 the price, but no. Now he thinks he should have taken me up on the offer. This is just one of many things that are wrong.

Yes, we found that and it works, just on power inside when unplugged. All battery connections are clean, could it be the transfer switch if that is what you call it. My Alpenlite was not like this one. It had an inverter with a real battery disconnect.

  • kinda sounds like the battery power isn't working for some reason. Could be the battery connections or the isolation switch. On some trailers not all the battery power goes thru the isolation sw. so you can still do some things with the isolation sw. off. On my trailer my front landing gear and slides work with the isolation sw. off. So you could try to see if anything at all works on 12 VDC. If it does that would tell you the battery power is there (connections are good, batteries are properly connected, good grounds, etc.) and the problem is the isolation switch or whatever device he has. Also, you mentioned the device had a button on it. Maybe that's a reset button and it has to be pushed to reset the device.
