2006 NuWa Hitchhiker 37CK

I am looking at the above trailer. Its use will be to live in full time while I work out of town for long stents. Looks to be in about a 8.5/10 shape, and very well optioned. They want 32K for it, but the salesman said, its on consignment, that they will probably take 30 or a little less for it. What is everyone's opinion on these models? Its a tri-axle and looks like a brick on wheels to me. Never hooked to something this large size wise, weight I have been well over that.
  • Alright thanks guys. Looking around the net, the one I am looking at seems to be the only one listed in the country with the same options....HAHA Similar models though seems to be right around the same price, so thats good. Any tips on how this will tow? I am not new to towing, but never dragged one with triples or an RV, always equipment type trailers. TV is a 08 GMC CCLB DRW LMM thats tuned and deleted, one tune being 60HP with Turbo Brake. It also has the integrated controller. Anyone know if the HH has straight electric brakes? I do not want to have to buy another controller. I am also on a time crunch here. Found out Thursday that I need to be in New Orleans by next weekend. So much for that 2 week window they said we would have.
  • NuWa is no longer manufacturing 5th wheels at this time. Although, they own and operate Kansas RV Center and have some 2013 model year NuWa products in stock, as well as used reconditioned units for sale. You will also find product info in the archive tab on the NuWa website. NuWa has enjoyed a good reputation over the years and are popular with full timers. I wouldn't hesitate to consider a reconditioned or gently used unit. Another large consignment company is PPL in Texas. You might get a feel for consignment prices from their website. Good luck.
  • Good units, very highly regarded by their owners (including me :B )

Still own a 2003 Hitchhiker Discover America series.

You may want to compare prices, just for information.

    Two sites you can use.

First, Hitchhiker is now out of business, no longer making RV's. But they still have a sales center at the former factory, and do repair/service work there.

They list several different model years of Hitchhikers on their web site. May be worth looking just to compare your price and what they list. Link: Hitchhiker -Kansas RV Center

Also, one can check at following for price comparison: RV Trader.com site
