Lots of models you mentioned in one post - I suggest you spend some time in them all. Also, the Big Horns have had many upgrades since the models you looked at came out 4-5 years ago. Have you looked at some of the volume Heartland dealers on prices? I've seen them on sale for nearly used prices.
How do I find these volume Heartland dealers? We really want to spend about $25,000 max out the door on a 5'er, so I don't know if new of any quality is possible.
We don't want to invest a lot into a trailer, never having used one, not knowing how much we will even like this sort of travel or lifestyle.
The other struggle is that we have champagne taste and want to spend beer money.
Your are at least realistic with your finances. At $25K you will have to go with a used Heartland. I would suggest you call Guaranty RV in Junction Oregon. Great people and fair who will look out for your RV interests. It is well worth the drive up to Junction City. I bought a new Big Horn Heartland 34' 5th. wheel and got the best price and Heartland's warranties and customer services have been great too. I drove 8 hrs. from my northern calif. home town to get the trailer.
