Thanks for the info folks. Since my last (and only) blowout of the G614 I read a bunch of threads, learned and became diligent that I always had them at 110psi (max cold psi) to carry our load. When fully loaded the two axles came in at 13,420. I came to the conclusion that I should always run tires (any tires) to carry their maximum load - regardless of whether my load was lighter than the max carrying capacity.
This thread is telling me to match my PSI to the load, which may not be the max PSI on the tire.
So if I have it right, I should always match my PSI to the load - or maybe a tiny bit more to get good tire wear and safe travels.
Have I got it right?
