2012 Keystone Raptor 300MP

We haven't completely decided yet, but we are thinking about selling our 2012 Keystone Raptor 300MP toy hauler. My wife has been fighting breast cancer for a few years now and we just aren't getting to use it like we wanted. It's basically brand new with like maybe 40 to 50 hours on the generator and I upgraded the tires a few months after purchasing it to Maxxis, which may have barely 100 miles on them. Can someone give me an idea of what I should ask for this on Craigslist or RV trader? Thanks in advance for any help.

Tom
  • Opinions are going to vary widely on this one. NADA says from $36,000 to $43,000. My gut feeling prior to looking it up was $40,000. I don't have knowledge of your region, but my best guess is you are probably looking at a listing price of maybe $42k and will probably have to settle for closer to $38k unless there is a high demand in your area. Be prepared to spend 6 months or more to find a buyer if you are looking for top dollar.

I'm sorry to hear of your wife's battle. Breast cancer seems to invade more and more of our lives all the time. My wife is two year survivor. My prayers go out to your wife, yourself and the rest of your family. I also wish you the best of luck in your pursuit to sell the Raptor.
  • Thanks for your kind words. I should have noted that ours is a Raptor 300MP Velocity with a lot of extras. I think you might have been looking at base price before adding things like A/C, power jacks, etc. When I went through and plugged in all the things I have on it on NADA I came up with a different price. Low retail $57,895 and Average retail was $69,745. Suggested list price for selling myself was $55,045.
  • When you plug something in to NADA you are not supposed to add options to get a reasonable value. I mean really you probably paid $55K new for it.
  • Oh! I didn't know. Ok. That makes sense because it was showing I should list it for more than I actually paid for it. I paid right around $50K for it brand new. Thanks for that info.
  • Got an offer for $45K from a dealer that has a shortage. Now we have to decide whether we want to sell it. Decisions!!! Ugh!

Holy cow, that would be an easy decision for me.

No doubt about that! Only losing $5k to depreciation is excellent, but I know what you mean about deciding to actually sell.
  • I know this is a hard decision. They must have a strong buyer or something because they have called twice today. We really like the camper and I actually think we might keep it. It's not about money for us. It's really about being able to use it.
  • I would deliver my 2010 300MP to that dealer from Florida! Nothing but 800 numbers and people wanting to help advertise it for a fee.

  • He had a couple that really wanted a 2012 300MP, but after one last attempt and a decline he sold them a 2011. Might regret it later, but I'm hoping my prayers get answered and we are able to use it more. God bless.
