When we got our 5er, I was unsure about the electric awning. Our past trailers only had the old manual awnings. Once I got using it, I like it better. But I ALWAYS tie it down. I can keep it out in some pretty good winds. But I have had a couple times the wind picked up so fast I didn't get it down, then I couldn't get it untied and down without it blowing up. Those were scary. Just be careful an know what the wind will do, and untie and get it down before it gets too much. You will learn what it will handle.
