I am in the process of purchasing a new 3500 with the 5th wheel prep. I told the dealer I couldn't pick it up until it had the hitch adapter. They are on national backorder until at least the end of Sept. Some dealers have them in stock and they were able to locate one. The truck frames are new for the 3500 and are different than the 2500. This is why there are no brkts available for non-prepped trucks yet.
