With such a bad reputation following them, why wouldn't they change the name on the new product and try to start all over??

Idiots
Can't fix stupid.
Because there are still more of them out there than all the others and it is a great name to have. They also had a very good reputation up until the end. Sure there were some problems but they were fixing them and there are many, many , many out there with virtually no problems. I owned 2 of them and would have no problem buying a used one again after checking it out thoroughly. - sin_cal_hdExplorerBecause there was a huge market with the WW name attached. Thats why! When 70% of all TH have WW on the trailer, you gamble with the name and risk the goods and bads. Its a smart move for the new mfg.

The new WW are not built by the old crew. To think they will be garbage is ridiculous. Old issues were with the old mfg. not the these new ones. This new company has the NAME only.
Admittedly, you are correct judgement is premature. Time will tell. - sin_cal_hdExplorerThe new WW are not built by the old crew. To think they will be garbage is ridiculous. Old issues were with the old mfg. not the these new ones. This new company has the NAME only.

No problems with my WW (Knock on wood) but then again I own a 6.0h Ford diesel.. :D
Wasn't it just the TAG style WW that had issues?
Not just the tag, I had along with many other a 5th wheel with the smooth sides that the side wall supports weren't strong enuff and the was would sag. For the first 1 1/2 years I owened my trailer it spent more time at WW than at my house . - Macs_DadExplorerIMO it will be really interesting to see how well the new WW's actually sell made by a different manufacturer.
They will really need to push selling the quality of it as well as the cosmetic part. They will have to really push the structural build part of the trailer for sure and show and tell in detail how it will hold up.
I think they will also have to keep reminding people that this is not the same trailer as before. Not even related !
