2016 3790RD mounting of EMS HW50C

Hi ALL
Just bought are 1st 5th wheel last week....traded in our 1998 Thor Class A.
its only been a week but so far REALLY like this RV...did a 5 hour walk and did not find any issues...after we got it home looked again and still looks good ...so far very happy with Montana/Keystone quality.
want to install the EMS system...any ideas were the best place to install....looked in the front for the transfer switch not there...im thinking it may be in the main storage area behind the walls.
any advice is appreciated.

Jeff
  • You might get more replies if you used English instead of model numbers and acronyms.
  • For those who don't know (but need to).

EMS-HW50C RV Power Protection with Surge Protection

Progressive Industries Portable Electrical Management Systems (EMS) provide full RV protection against all adverse power conditions. You will feel secure with multi-mode surge, voltage, polarity and lost/open neutral protection.

Mine is located on top of the transfer switch, if you can figure out where that is.
  • Congrats on your new Montana. The Progressive EMS is a popular and wise investment. The best thing to do next is to join the Montana Owners Club (MOC). The MOC has thousands of members (well over 15K) who all own, repair and modify their Montana RVs. Just this morning another member posted pictures of how he installed his Progressive unit.

The MOC is a privately owned forum. It is free to join and only requires you establish an id and password. MOC Link

Somebody urinate on you cornflakes this morning? Don't see a lot of model numbers or acronyms. Only acronym is EMS = PI Energy Management System. EMS HW50C = hard wired 50 amp
