I think a lot of it is your dealer. We were scheduled to arrive to pick up our MS in Knoxville TN on a Monday. The preceding Wednesday, our 38RSSA went into make-ready. They were still going through systems function-checking EVERYTHING when we arrived. We did delay things a bit by having an inverter added for the residential refrigerator and having the DirecTV satellite gear switched over from the old MS, but we finally had everything moved over and pulled out on Tuesday afternoon.
We then drove to the Gatlinburg area where we spent a week before heading back to the Houston, TX area. The only problems we had during that week were the cheap Chinese light bulbs burning out in the pendant lights over the kitchen island - all 3 of them! I replaced them with bulbs I picked up at NAPA, and no more problems since.
I honestly don't know how many problems our MS had when it arrived at the dealer, but our dealer made sure that they were rectified before we took delivery. We've had minimal problems (certainly nothing major) since we took delivery - the MS has never been back to a dealer or repair facility since, much less the factory in Howe, IN. But then again, in 10 years of ownership, our 2004 MS 36RE3 never saw Howe, IN either.
