Looks like it may be some time next week now..The generator had too be ordered and it's not in yet..SOOO, still waiting to pick up our new DRV...May have to get 2" risers put on to try to level the combo..Hearing from some DRV owners who have newer Ram 3500 Dually's, even with rear air assist, adding risers to lift 5er up to level with these stupid trucks with their tails so high in the air..Does any of these stupid engineers think any of this out??? When I was in R & D, if I'd designed stupidity into some of these trucks the way they have today, I'd been out of manufacturing 35 years ago...I'd been fired...lot of education and no common sense is a formula for failure....
Jim.
Not sure what's worse... The engineer who doesn't design a product for the customer and the products intended use or the engineer who doesn't design for manufacturability.
And this is coming from an engineer.
Speaking of engineers, one of my top manufacturing engineers who retired recently is my fishing buddy as well. I called him last week to see if he wanted to go fish West Matagorda bay and he said "I'm at Lake Tahoe" right now see you next week. Retired life must be nice. :B
Troy, I'm going to find out in about two weeks how retired life is going to be...the wife say's I will be extremely bored...I too love to fish, more into trout streams and river fishing, i.e....a lot of wading:B
Ron, just wish maybe some of the RV manufactures raised the 5er's up from the initial frame /axle coupling...doubt the auto manufacturer is going to lower the rear end on these trucks.
Believe you're right on seat height Chris, If we didn't have a step rail, it might be a little hard to crawl up into these trucks now a day's.
