It just means in some configurations you won't be able to drop the bed without first dropping the couches.
Also, most of them now have a power dinette option, and the couches are part of the power bed assembly (in this case, the dinette must be put down before raising the full assembly back up). This is what I ordered because I wanted to retain pass-through ramp access while all the seating is available.
