I would say since you are asking a 250-2500 won't be enough truck for what you want in a 5er.

If will pull pretty much anything that does not overload the rear axle(tires actually) pin weight wise!
Of course if it was a 3500 it would be a completely different truck, NOT!
So to OP, what is your RAWR and how much does the rear axle weigh ready to tow. Subtract ready to tow weight for the rear axle from RAWR to find allowable pin weight. Then make sure the new larger trailer is not going to have a pin weight that exceeds the capacity that is available on your rear axle.
