35 ft wheel and on the road campsites

I know some of you probably get tired of hearing about this, but how hard is it to actually find a campsite on the spur of the moment for a rig this size?
  • 38' 5er here and so far only had issue at one campground where I had to juggle around the trees for 15 minutes before I got situated. I am sure you will find some places, especially older campgrounds or SPs, that are impossible to set up in. Just be flexible and you should make out just fine. Sometimes not getting into the spot you thought might be best ends up placing you in a spot that is even nicer. Relax, don't rush, just enjoy the adventure.

  • never had a problem any where we've been, some are just a little more work to get into.
  • I also pull a 35ft 5th wheel and there has been a couple of times we couldn't get in where we called but we just keep on calling. Just completed a 8,621 mile trip across the USA and we were only turned down twice and both places it was the weekend and very popular places we were wanting to visit.
  • Depends. Around here length is not as big of an issue as the three slides are. I can get into a lot of national forest sites, just could never open the slides.
