I have a 2010 Montana,not that matters but the male end of my 50 amp plug has pulled away from the plug and now I am having a power problem.Can I just go to lowes and get a replacement plug or to a dealer to get one?Next what are the colors of wires and which pin do they hook up to?I assume they are color coded or standard so if anyone has a diagram of how to wire in the male replacement plug that would save me a little change as a whole cord replacement is well over $100.Thanks for any help

If the old plug is still attached, just wire a replacement in the same pattern as the original.

An rv dealer should have the plug.Amazon sells the Camco male 50 amp 55255 for $15.50 and the female Camco 50 amp 55353 for $15.28 so you will have a price range.

this post reminds me of the time i needed to change the pedal cable in the stool/toilet.

Don't ask me why but i took the thing out of the camper and disassembled it. When i got the new cable kit in the instructions were with it and i did not have to do a fraction of the work if i had gotten the replacement in and looked at the picture first. :S

The Camco plug comes with instructions on what goes where and even how long to cut the wires so they fit exactly.
Thompsons should have them. Or Jand J if it's closer to you.

. So by this pic green to the top roundish pin,white to the flat right below the round pin and the red and black to either side pins????Is this right?

Does someone have a picture as to which wires go to which.Not an electrician so maybe pictures for electric dummies:) I think I have it but a pic would be great.

Get the one with handle......easier to connect/disconnect especially if you need to use an adapter

Maybe at Wal-Mart? I bought a 30 amp replacement from them but can't remember if they had a 50 amp. Could be dependent upon store.

Lowes plug works just fine. Black and red wires to the blades on either side, green to the round pin and white to the flat pin opposite the round one. Black and red are interchangeable.
