Some upgrades may significantly increase load capacity of the vehicle. Which doesn't change what the stickers say... but the tow realistically has much greater capability.
What the OP is stating he's going to tow with his truck, would really not need all the add-on's you speak of..If one has to add all that to tow "X" size 5er, than one should have purchased a bigger truck from the get go.
I am a bit confused that Djgodden, felt that he needed to do those upgrades to carry/pull the 5er he has listed in his signature. :h
I carry/pull the same size and likely near the same weight, and the only upgrade besides the stock Camper package is a set of Bilstein shocks.
