5er height
is a 5th wheel taller when hooked to truck rather than sitting by self? My barn door opens to 13' 1 1/2" I was looking at a new unit that states height at 13' 1"

The newer trucks, especially 4x4, are pretty high in the rear. My 35' 5er sits a little nose high on my 2012 F350 4x4. So in my case, yes the front (which of course is the highest part) will be higher hooked up than sitting level unhooked.
