Most places we go, length is not a huge problem. However, there is one particular place we visit in GA in the mountains (a place we absolutely love) where if we were a little longer, we would have trouble. We recently upgraded from our 32/33 foot Wildcat to a 34 foot GD Reflection, and our goal was to stay approximately the same size as we were before.
So to answer the question, YES, I find it to be important but not completely limiting. I would much rather have the floor plan and tank capacities we want rather than the length. Even if we couldn't fit into the place in GA, we could easily find another place nearby that could accomodate larger rigs.
