5er that extends over the cab

Is there some reason I am missing why more 5ers are not made to extend over the cab. Most are high enough and it seems a good spot to extend a bed into like a slide in camper.

After some research I found that Titanium and Travelaire make a similar 5er. I am not sure if the image is one of those.

This is what I was thinking too. Also, the space is really not very useful for much other than a storage space of some kind.

The bed was about 1/2 to 3/4 in the overhang so it was about 3ft at the foot of the bed and a couple steps up to get in been 8-9 years since they were built by Glendale then one of the manufacturers here in the states bought the rights but only built them for a year or two.

You are right it sure looks like the google images. Thanks, I edited my post. Also apparently Travelaire makes one.
