GBuilders, There is no single insurer that's always best or cheapest for everyone in every state. What someone else pays for their specific vehicle, in their state, based on their personal record, has little to do with what your rate will be.
Your best bet is to go to an independent agent (not tied to any specific carrier) and have them get you apples to apples quotes from 4 or 5 different insurers.
You should decide ahead of time, what coverages, liability limits, deductibles, and type of full loss coverage you want. Don't leave those choices up to the quoters.
