- Cummins12V98Explorer IIIWell I challenge anyone to show proof of a dropped trailer using a B&W hitch that the pin box plate is touching the hitch plate, the 1" thick machined jaws are closed around kingpin and handle is closed pinned to locked.
I am waiting.
One BIGGIE to NOT do with a B&W is pin the handle open!!!!!!!
I threw my pin away and use a padlock. - bpoundsNomadI love how the hitch experts say...
He failed to do this thing and that thing on brand X, so his trailer dropped.
He should have had brand Y, and as long as you do this thing and that thing, your trailer won't ever drop. larry barnhart wrote:

chevman PS he seems to be not very experienced on things that move. Not meaning the new truck as that was a great idea to do for them.

2 different guys.... The guy narrating the video with the F450 is NOT the guy who dropped the fiver on hid truck.....
I have watched a few of the BigTruck/BigRv YouTube videos.... Some are interesting... some are not.. HE has the 450- larry_barnhartExplorerThe couple now drive a 450 ford.

chevman - Thanks Fish for the follow up....
I think we ALL knew what the causes were on here, this just confirmed it...
I have seen a few of the BigTruckBigRV posts and they are usually a decent watch. Yes, they are usually pushing a product tat was given to them, but so what ???
Torklift uses online product evaluators to post "positive" remarks about their products all the time, I should know, I have had 3-4 different items that the sent me for free to evaluate over the years.
And I agree with above ^^ I have not used it yet, but am glad my new hitch is a B&W .. - ACZLExplorerBigTruckRV I see is another fan of B&W. Tho we only have a 18K B&W, am sooooo glad we went w/ this brand!!!! FWIW as well, I still do a tug test each and every time when I hook up. Being a semi driver------old habits are hard to break.
- Cummins12V98Explorer IIIReally sad you have to look to see if some color is showing !!!
- DickOKExplorerJust got a new Curt hitch when got new truck. Did you check to see if green was showing? I always have done a pull test for 15 years.
- Jim2007ExplorerI have a curt hitch which I have used for 3 and half years. I back in and get out of the truck and visually inspect the jaws to in sure they have locked. Very easy to determine. Never failed until last summer. The hitch will still lock but I need to pull the truck forward then the jaws lock. I follow the curt hitch recommend maintance schedule. I would like comments from other curt hitch owners. Thanks Jim2007.
- chiefneonExplorerHowdy!
I no longer have to worry about it since I switched to a Reece Goose Box.
