We had one on our 2012 and I used a small piece of aluminum and mounted the camera to it and then used Velcro to mount it to my truck box. It was a straight on view and worked great. Then when we were done with the RV I could just pull it off and unroll my cover.
Tried the look over your shoulder thing but with a mega cab it wasn't easy. The camera connected right into my Good Sam GPS an helped great no arguing with the wife nothing
