In my opinion, if you will be shopping for a new trailer buying a quality hitch up front would be a good idea. If considering a used trailer you may want to hold off. I originally bought a Patriot which has vertical adjustments but with a 16" minimum. The used trailer I bought had no height adjustments and what I needed was a 14" high hitch. Not a problem as the Patriot was easy to sell. The new trailers I see seem to have a nice range of pin box adjustability. If going with an air ride pin box you may find you need a shorter hitch to level your trailer. All things to consider when shopping.
If your budget allows you may want to consider an air hitch up front. You will be glad you did.
