How would the Andersen prevent someone from towing you somewhere should you have a breakdown? Simply...nothing. Remove the connecting block on the trailer and you're done. Eezy peezy.
Who is perpetuating myths and misinformation? IF a 5er manufactuer states that they don't recommend towing their 5er with a GN hitch, how is that perpetuating myths and misinformation??
All it takes is a phone call to the manufacturer, no big deal and you get a correct answer, no myths or misinformation perpetuated that way, no "Hearsay"...just the truth from the horses mouth, so to speak.
