Why put your truck and RV in a bind going down the road. Wouldn't you like a smooth ride where you don't even know the RV is behind you. And when you get to where you are going and go into the RV. You find that the dishes are still where you put them and nothing has moved in the RV unless you had made a emergency stop along the way and slammed on the brakes.
Look at buying a 25k air safe hitch with the binkley holland head or a Hensley air hitch with the binkley holland head. I bought the 25k air safe hitch with the binkley holland head in 2006 when I bought my first 5th wheel. First thing the wife said was you don't even know it is behind us. And at the end of the day when we went into the 5th wheel. Nothing had moved and that includes behind the rear wheels. Which is the roughest ride. Yes they cost a lot of money compared to the cheap ones. But you get what you pay for. The RV rides smooth going down the road. And the truck rides smooth going down the road.
