my gooseneck frame mount is one piece, not 3 pieces like I see current gooseneck hitches. When installed they needed to lift bed to install the steel bracket onto the frame. The mount looks professional meaning doesn't look like it was made/cut from steel.
Andersen really has nothing to say about the ball. So long as it's a standard GN ball size, the Andersen should fit it. The AU uses a cross pin that goes crossways under the bulge of the ball, then uses a draw-down bolt to pull the hitch down tight to the bed. Pretty simple system. The rest it tweaking the hitch and/or pin box.
