Arent real gooseneck trailers putting more weight/load on the truck itself with their long gooseneck arm?
i was under impression gooseneck trailers by design put allot more weight on truck than a 5th wheel trailer?

You see those heavy gussets between the hitch tube and the frame and on the frame at the step? Do you see anything like that on a FW frame? =That= is what gives a GN frame its strength and why adding a GN adapter to a FW RV isn't a great idea. In fact, most mfrs simply will not warranty the frame if a GN adapter is used.
In my experience, a GN trailer usually has the axles further towards the rear, putting more weight on the pin. At the same time, you have =great= flexibility (usually) in how you load the trailer and can put as much weight on the pin as you desire. Can't do that so much with an RV.
