My 305T Everest measures 30.5 feet from the front landing gear to the rear of the trailer. Overall length is just under 37 feet.
I always carry a 100' tape measure when I look at trailers and measure the ones I'm interested in due to length restrictions where I will park it. I have yet to find a trailer that is the same overall length as is given in the brochure.
Odd that you say you've never had a trailer yet that brochure was correct on over all length. I've had, to name a few in the 5er category, a Prowler, Dutchman, Sandpiper, Coachmen and now the HR, and all of these listed an outside dimension, ( ie, from very front tip of pin box to the rear bumper or back end of the ladder( whichever extended out the furthest), and all 5 of these were within an inch or two of being EXACTLY the length listed in the manufacturers brochure. Same with last 3 or 4 TT's I owned length listed from front end of unit that sit's on ball to back of TT', be it the bumper, spare tire or ladder. (outside length on a 5er is from the very front of the pin box to the furthest back part of one's 5er, be it the bumper or a ladder...). If one owned a unit that didn't come with a ladder and they added one to the unit, they would need to add the additional amount of how much the ladder sticks out from the 5er to the overall length of the unit.
Unlike your experience, I would have to say, in the last 20 yrs of owning TT's and 5er's, outside length's given by manufacturer on equipment they shipped to dealer, that their measurements were within inches (or even closer), as to what they listed, once I measured them
Now as Atom Ant sugessted...I too, would HIGHLY recommend one measuring the height of their 5er, from ground level to highest point on the 5er....if one has added an additional AC to the top or a Dome, something like that....I would certainly want to know what bridges or tunnels I could take my 5er through....Knowing how tall your unit is and what tunnels or bridges you can clear would be VERY important to know, (as witnessed on more than several u-tube videos..
