- Bill_SatelliteExplorer IIWatch a 50 minute video at that link? No thanks.
- wa8yxmExplorer IIISince I'm burning my own bandwidth this AM I'll wait to watch the video.
Was talking to a fellow ham who has a Tesla.. He says it has 400HP equivlent.
That's about the same as a Chevy 8.1 in my motor home and more than many MH's - Chris_BryantExplorer IITesla with their new battery tech- https://insideevs.com/news/355152/tesla-maxwell-beyond-battery-tech/
Speculation the Tesla semi and pickup are waiting for these batteries.
I also don’t do YouTube. - BarabooBobExplorer IIII am in the middle of nowhere too often to rely on electric vehicles at this point. Maybe when there are multiple charging stations in every town that can charge my batteries in 10 minutes I will be interested. I don't think I will live that long.

The Nikola semi has a 1500 mile range, with fast refueling. While it is electric, it isn’t battery, rather it’s a hydrogen fuel cell. - LynnmorExplorerGo ahead and watch the video and then decide if you would want to put up with such a toy.
- tomman58ExplorerGreat ad for the car. Time is marching on this issue as there will be many, many more electrics on the market soon.
- SidecarFlipExplorer IIINot interested in a 4 wheel toaster.

He has 11 hours into recharging for a 280 mile trip one can drive in 6 hours easily.
One of those is a 7+ hour session where he rented a campsite at an RV park, because there were no chargers around. He parks the car, connects it to the pedestal, then walks to a motel to wait it out. I assume he paid for both the RV park and motel.
Thats about as much as I could take of watching a knucklehead.
Wait until you can't get a campsite because they're taken by morons charging Teslas lol. - pianotunaNomad IIIThe video doesn't have much to recommend it. Basically he drove a long way and used some 50 amp sites at RV parks. The only "tidbit" of information was that on the RV park power the Tesla only drew 40 amps.
The time frame is about 2 years ago, so there would be even less inconvenience making the same trip today.
There was some beautiful scenery.
