Had a 33' toy hauler 5ver, towed with a 2005 F250 short bed crew cab. It had the Reese 16k slider, only used the rear position twice. Once was when I repo-ed a 41' triple slide with square front corners, and I had to make some sharp turns to get it out of where it was parked. The short bed still gives you a 6'9" bed. Like others have said, its all about how the front corners of the 5ver are shaped, and how close you are comfortable getting to the corners of your cab. An extended pin box on the 5ver is almost a must.
