Yep. Check the advertised turn radius of the new 5er. Many new 5ers have contoured fronts and extended pin boxes that minimize the problem of hitting the cab.
Good friend did knock out his short bed back window with an older 5er with squared off lower front corners on a tight backin turn. Traded for a newer 5er with recessed/contoured front corners and, with a little more caution, no more problem.
