I am sure Reese makes quality hitches! That being said, I have one of those heavy "gimick" hitch, a Super Glide automatic slide hitch. It is simple to hitch and un hitch, and other than "high hitching" I do not know how I could mistakenly hitch my rig wrong! Either it is hitched, they lever slides over, or it is not hitched! Just glad I purchsed my hitch rather than something else. To the OP sorry, you may consider buying a bed saver, but that may be closing the barn door after the horses run out!
