We are considering upgrading from a 30' TT to a new FW and hitting the road for a couple of years. We are looking at a Grand Design Solitude 377MBS and a Keystone Montana 3950BR. I plan on towing with a GM 3500 SRW with Duramax. Would like to hear some opinions about my plan.
As with all brands, there can be issues. I have owned my present Montana fifth wheel for nearly 11 years, with the exception of some very minor things, the two things to mention graphics starting to peel, but thats going to be an issue eventually with any RV with graphics.. The other was two hydraulic hoses to the slide outs leaking, after the first one, took the other one off, plus all the others ,and replaced them all, no more problems there.
Montana fifth wheels have probably been the best selling fifth wheel since they came out , I believe in 1999. I would get another if I was in the market for one. The one I have has been too good to want to replace, and still looks good. Some opinions will vary :)
I tow it with a Ram 3500 SRW, no problems there at 15,500 GVWR
