So sad to see accidents still happening from blowouts. While I'm sure that they cannot all be prevented people need to be aware of how old their tires are (I'd never want to drive something heavy with tires older than about 8 years) and keep tabs on air pressure. Duals are just about impossible to visually check and the $300 or so for a tire monitoring system is SO worth the money. You can check all your tires with a gauge then pick up a nail immediately afterwards as you are pulling back onto the Interstate. TPMS...lifesaver!
