Would a tire pressure monitor system avoided this? I question the safety of trailer tires altogether and I'm building in tire safety as a #1 priority into mine...Most of the trailers I have seen don't even consider catastrophic tire fails under the structure... just look at the wheel wells of your own trailer. Even if this was a flat gone bad...they probably didn't even know it was coming...now if they had any warning, the outcome could have been different. Sad ending. Do tires just explode? Maybe, but why? Low pressure, overheating, sidewall damage, hitting something etc. Point being that some extra insurance like a tpms has probably saved many. Again so sad. Oh and did I get this right?...a SWA caring a triple axle toy hauler? Correct me...but really? really?...I do see this going down the highways. It shocks me, it is scary...how can RV dealers or anyone sell to people that knowingly know that they sell overloaded rigs to people that don't have the truck to haul it??? Sewage.. I mean really they are killing people on the road... accountability should be condemning these rip offs...these rigs are not getting any smaller. Look at this trend of bigger is better...no!.. we are losing what camping and and RV trailers are all about...WOW hit the brakes!
