5th Wheel Tires
I have a 36ft 5th Wheel in need of tires. It weights 14,700 lbs loaded but has three axles with 16 inch tires. What is the very best tire I can buy for it?

You should check your trailer's tire placard before you commit to those tires. At 15,000# GVWR your axles should be rated larger than 6000# GAWR.
FastEagle- 245/75/16 R250 Bridgestone Duravis is what I use.
- Another vote for R250's.
I put a set on over a year ago and have around 15000 miles on them and they look like brand new!
I would do one thing different though...
Mine had 235/80/16 with 33" axle spacing.
I went with 235/85/16's a bit bigger in diameter. The problem now is my x-chocks are a pain to get in.
If I was to do it again I would go 245/75/16. They are about the same diameter as the 235/80...but a tad bit wider...which I have room for. Blackcell wrote:

Were hijacking the OP thread here but he may be interested in comments on your tandem axle trailer.
Many folks are in your shoes with a just under a 12k axle load. Some go with the 16" LT E 3042 lb capacity in the all steel ply carcass Ribs or R250/M895 and have no issues.
Others upgrade to a 16" LT G Goodyear G614 at 3750 lbs/110 psi tires and wheels or the Sailun S637 16" LT G at 3750 lbs/110 psi.

X3- The GY LT235/85R16G tires are the only 16" LT tires that will equal or exceed your OE tires.
They are also steel carcass tires.
There are others from off shore manufacturers that I'm sure someone will point out.

Bridgestone Duravis R250's are cheaper and just as good. Both are steel carcass offerings.
