I haven't noticed any ride difference as of yet. I ran 65 lbs. of air in the Carlisle tires and I really had hopes they would work out. I lost one in the summer coming out of Silver City, New Mexico after getting on I-10. A passerby alerted me to pull over which I did right away. The right rear tandem tire was literally gone to the point there was a 2" band of rubber sidewall on both sides of the rim but no tire in the middle. It was spooky and I was lucky the rim didn't hit the pavement. I changed out tires and they went to Discount.
The ambient heat was probably 100 degrees at the time. Since there was no tire left to look at, I could not do an autopsy of what happened to the rest of the tire.
