The B&W companion is VERY acceptable and was suggested above. I think you are confused about the difference between a gooseneck adapter and a fifth wheel hitch that mounts in the truck bed using your existing gooseneck ball. They are NOT the same thing. The B&W companion and the Andersen Ultimate are fine - a true gooseneck adapter is not.

You are right :) I was confused. My husband is the one that deals with all the hitching stuff but asked me to do the research on this because I have more time. When I googled 5th Wheel to Goose neck adapters the B&W Companion came up so I figured it was an adapter. Thanks all for helping to clarify things. I think I know what direction we will be headed in.
