We pulled a HH11 LS for three years with a gooseneck adapter and had no problems.
We would have used a gooseneck adapter with our current trailer but TX. and some other states require safety chains. I got tired of putting them and taking them off.
Yeah some RV makers recommended a GN adapter and probably most don't. A few even came with the adapter as a option and as we see around the net and out here in the real world (rv and non rv) lots of folks use them with no issues and some folks that have never used them make lots of noise against anyone using the product.
