Not sure AUS has more dirt roads and rough off road terrain! Tend to think perhaps the USA has more paved roads and highways. Meaning, in the USA you can travel extensively all on pavement. But the dirt roads and rugged off road terrain is abundant for those that seek it. Much of it way too rough to take a large trailer into no matter how well built. Instead, there are many brands of trailers especially made for off road. They are rather small which is needed to get into tight backwoods areas. I do travel with my 5th wheel down graded mountain logging roads to remote lakes and streams but trailer is far too large to tackle anything else. Biggest problem I've had is fine dust getting inside.
